Being located a mere 200 yards from the Old Course and walking distance from most Links courses we are the ideal choice for any golfing trip that you are planning. We regularly have a number of golfing groups staying with us and have a golf store for all your clubs in both the Ardgowan and the Pilmour and a restaurant serving some of the best local Scottish food and locals ales in town.

Golf has been played at St Andrews links from around 1400 AD. The Old Course is renowned throughout the world as the Home of Golf. The game grew in popularity and by the 19th century it was part of the way of life for many local people, whether as players, caddies, ball makers or club makers.

Golf on the Links started from one mere simple track hacked through the bushes and heather, which has developed into seven public Links owned golf courses. St Andrews is the largest golfing complex in Europe with the Links and neighbouring golf courses, St Andrews Bay, Kingsbarns, Crail, Ladybank, Lundin Links and Scotscraig to name a few, which attracts hundreds of thousands of golfing pilgrims from around the globe.
